Game, synergy and dynamic balance between asana and pranayama.
Understand pranayama through asanas and asanas through pranayama.

26 June-3 July, 2021

At first glance, the path outlined by the 8 angas of Patanjali yoga seems to be linear: from yama to niyama, asana, pranayama, pratyahara, and then move on to the higher angas, dharana, dhyana and samadhi. In reality, the angas are related to each other like a Moebius strip, a geometric figure symbol of infinity: in this vision, the subsequent angas are not only understood starting from the study of the previous ones, but in turn guide their experience. The asanas found pranayama, however pranayama through the retention of the breath is the energetic meeting point to understand and found the asanas. The workshop program includes a week of practicing asana, pranayama and meditation in the tradition of Ashtanga Yoga. The workshop is open to practitioners of all levels. Those who start will be followed with a specific program in guided classes for beginners. The workshop is particularly suitable for those who already teach Ashtanga Yoga and want to deepen the didactic aspects of the asanas and the safe adjustments starting from the understanding of the dynamics of the breath. Gian Renato Marchisio will be assisted by Stefania Valbusa (authorized teacher KPJAYI – SYC) and co-founder of Yoga Sutra Studio-Ashtanga Yoga Turin
