ORGANIC METAMORPHOSIS, EMBODIED PRACTICE JOOHRTIC CON ELEANOR EVRARD / FIVA YOGA SCHOOL
03 – 10 August 2024
Description of the retreat
ORGANIC METAMORPHOSIS, EMBODIED PRACTICE 300 HOUR ADVANCED TEACHER TRAINING
This INTENSE 300HR PROGRAM is an invitation to delve into the heart, broaden the mind and elevate your own practice & teaching skills (sequencing, embodied cuing, energy body understanding and cultivation).
Whether you want to teach, run a studio, or retreats you will start embodying the wisdom of a more cyclical awareness of your feminine or masculine body to avoid burnout but also to BE from a place of intrinsic power, and LEAD your life from your heart with increased focus, grace, and determination. This training is rigorous, challenging and comprehensive. It integrates classical asana, mantra, chanting, meditation, and philosophy to enhance your desire for moksha- liberation from Self ignorance. The anatomy program that will be part of the online section of the training is designed to be 100% relevant to your asana, and pranayama practices. You will leave knowing exactly why you practice what you practice, as well as embodying this.
What are the Organic Metamorphosis requirements?
This program is challenging spiritually, mentally, emotionally, energetically and physically.
Therefore the most important requirement is the complete acknowledgement and acceptance to meet, face and work through the challenge as it reveals itself.
The second is a deep confidence in the practice and a sincere desire to share it.
The third, all applicants must hold a 200 hour Yoga Alliance approved certification.
What does the Organic Metamorphosis program include?
- A set morning HATHA (meaning asana, postures) sequence (a blend based on the arts of Anusara Hatha, and Ashtanga inspired vinyasa flow) to illuminate your progression. You will therefore be able to keenly notice your areas of relative “weakness” and witness the progression throughout the 14 practices, whilst leaving with impeccable technical skills to continue improving after the course. This is merely a new start to your journey. Please note: Hatha yoga is not a style of asana, but rather can be translated as an effort and is an umbrella term to describe physical yoga. All practices are well rounded and include
- Daily posture clinics with expert guest teachers, to break down the asana from the sequence and beyond.
- Learn to practice and guide others in the art of Bandha, Mudra, Drishti and Pranayama.
- Daily handstand practices, inversions, backbends, and arm balances to boost both your flexibility levels, whilst enhancing your stability (strength/power).
- Evening of embodied insights into the art and practice of yin (feminine/Shakti) Taoism, kirtan, and yoga Nidra to balance out the three hour morning practice (yang/masculine/shiva energy).
Please note: Hatha yoga is not a style of asana, but rather can be translated as an effort and is an umbrella term to describe physical yoga. All practices are well rounded and include all of the above techniques mentioned.
- Embodied understanding of the chakra system, not only deeply anatomical but energetically through energy work and meditations.
- Enhance your understanding of prana, or how “breath is boss”
- Teach the 90 Minute EP Intermediate Sequence: Learn to lead others in this 90 minute sequence by Elea Gisele which includes Dharma Talk, Guided Meditation, Pranayama, Chanting, Bandha, Asana and Yoga Nidra.
- Mantra: Daily mantra chanting and study.
- Meditation: Learn various meditation techniques and practice meditation twice a day. Additionally, learn how to teach meditation to others.
- Scriptural Study with Dr. Keshava Murthy via zoom: Explore portions of major yogic texts: The Yoga Sutra of Patanjali, The Bhagavad Gita and The Hatha Yoga Pradipika.
- Advanced sequencing: The power of smart sequencing, knowing how to break down the steps towards complex poses in order for even beginners to produce these shapes. Whilst also using intuition through deep embodied knowledge. Learn the various ways of sequencing therapeutic sequences, and theming with Elea Gisele, author of “The Sequencing Bible”
- Cyclical awareness: practice in respect of your cycle, whether a woman or a man, see when you build muscle vs become more flexible, what times of the day benefit what style of practice the most. Also interesting for studio owners when preparing your class schedule.
- Physical anatomy and physiology: skeletal, muscular, nervous and cardiovascular systems. Injury prevention, and recovery. Subtle anatomy: including chakra, Nadi, prana and bandha.
- The power of words: in depth clinics and examinations of how what we say matters, aka words can either enhance or reduce muscle power and flexibility. By cuing in a yang, extra precise manner we clarify neurological pathways. By cuing in a yin or Yoga Nidra fashion, we guide the body to soften throughout all its different layers. (Physical, and auric field)
- Ahimsa: explore and deepen this mula-Yama- or foundational practice, through a vegan lifestyle, choosing the path of least harm on the self and the world at large as the first step to self realization.
- Practice teaching and receiving constructive feedback, in small and larger groups. Includes how to teach workshops.
- Assists, and modifications: learn to give hands on assists and scale the asana according to the student’s needs.
- Yoga Nidra: Practice and learn to lead yoga Nidra- deep yogic relaxation.
