Description of the retreat
What you can expect:
- Morning practice: Prāṇāyāma and Aṣṭāṅga yoga in the Mysore style-adapted to your level, whether beginner or advanced practitioner.
- Afternoon program (over four days): alternatively YogaDoc with Ronald or deeply relaxing Yin Yoga with Melanie.
Daily Routine
Morning
- 6:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. or 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.: Prāṇāyāma followed by the practice of Āsana in Mysore style
- 10:30 a.m.: Brunch
Afternoon (Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday)
- 5:00 p.m.: Yin Yoga or YogaDoc, depending on the day
- 7:30 p.m.: Dinner
Arrival and departure
- Arrival day: Arrival around 4:00 pm, check-in from 2:00 pm.
- Departure Day: Joint final after morning rehearsal from 6:30 to 9:00 am, brunch and individual check-out by 11:00 am.

Dr. Ronald Steiner – The „YogaDoc“
The “YogaDoc”, Dr. Ronald Steiner, is the founder of the AYI Method. This method combines traditional Aṣṭāṅga Yoga with innovative Yoga Therapy and living philosophy.
The result is a very personal practice for each individual – ranging from athletic and acrobatic to meditative and therapeutic.
Body and mind come together in harmonious balance. Ronald is a sports medicine doctor, a scientist focused on prevention and rehabilitation research, and one of the most renowned practitioners of Aṣṭāṅga Yoga. He is among the few yoga teachers officially authorized by the traditional Indian masters, Śrī K. Pattabhi Jois and BNS Iyengar.
Ronald is assisted by his partner Melanie Steiner, assisting in Mysore and offering Yin classes.
Dr. Melanie Steiner
Dr. Melanie Steiner is a psychological psychotherapist and yoga teacher. She discovered yoga as a holistic practice for herself back in 1996.
In 2001, she met Dr. Ronald Steiner and Aṣṭāṅga Yoga. Through many trips to India to study with Śrī K.
Pattabhi Jois and BNS Iyengar, she deepened her understanding of this ancient yoga tradition. From 2007 to 2014, she worked in the field of clinical developmental psychology and attachment research at the University Hospital of Ulm.
