20-24 March 2023

Description of the retreat

The first module of the Yoga Therapy school will take place from 20 to 24 March 2023 and can be followed online or in person. It includes theoretical sessions and practical sessions in which exercises / asanas useful for dealing with pathologies of the lumbar area, pelvis and lower limb (hip, knee, ankle, foot) are put into practice. You will learn to create therapeutic or prevention practices for these pathologies using all the tools of yoga and traditional medicine. It is not necessary to have extensive yoga experience or to be a doctor to learn and care for people, just as it is not necessary to be an expert in neurology to teach meditation. You learn over time.

This module is the first step of the international Yoga therapy program, designed for well-being and prevention as well as for recovery from ailments. It combines the essence of traditional yoga and Ayurveda with the discoveries and achievements of modern medicine. It has been used in practice for several decades around the world and attended by hundreds of people. In Italy the teacher of reference is Fabrizio Boldrini.

The program is aimed specifically at yoga teachers and holistic professionals, doctors and healthcare professionals and is based on a function-oriented treatment approach. How can our training support your growth as a teacher and practitioner?

The objectives:

  • With the new knowledge gained, you can integrate yoga holistically into everyday life and create a specific yoga practice for you and your students.
  • You can increase physical, mental and spiritual strength and restore a natural balance, in a way that is sensitive to individual needs
  • You can make yoga accessible to all people regardless of age, health condition or cultural background
  • You can develop a clear and precise picture of how one can teach and practice to care for the health and well-being of people in group and individual classes.

This course is for you if you want to transform and deepen your teaching, broaden your knowledge, and build your practice on a solid foundation for a lifetime. This course will help you to do private lessons aimed at managing the problems of your students with a consistent therapeutic approach. You will manage practical tools to transform your classes into inclusive classes, meeting the needs of students of all ages, and respect their physical and health limitations. If you want to reach a wider audience with yoga and self-care teachings, both therapeutic and preventive, this course is for you.

Lessons take place from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm on the days indicated, with a break of about 10 minutes for each one-hour session and a lunch break of about 60 minutes at 13.00.The last day we will end at 3.00 pm with a slightly shorter lunch break.

The Yoga therapy program consists of a total of 7 intensive modules of 5 days each. Each module can be attended independently. To facilitate understanding, it is recommended that you attend the modules in the order specified.A certificate is issued for each module. After completing all modules, a general certificate is issued, which can be registered with Yoga Alliance for 300 hours. Attention: These 300h diplomas do not entitle the holder to bear the title of “yoga therapist”, but only indicate participation in a yoga therapy course.
