Description of the retreat
Patrick fonder of Mysore practice in Paris teaches the traditional method of Ashtanga-Yoga, founding his teaching on the fundamental aspect of internal alignment (breath, Bandhas and focus) as well as the proper placement of the body.

Authorized Teacher Level II
The Artistic Language has been my main channel of expression and development as an actor, dancer and acrobat, for almost 20 years.
In 1999, as I was a professional dancer, I took my first Iyengar Yoga classes, shortly followed by Hatha Yoga classes.
In 2002, in the course of my insomnia, Ashtanga Yoga came into my life.
Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga very quickly became a daily practice. Charley Bensusen was my teacher and my guide for many years during which he taught me the art of “being present”.
Quite naturally, I followed his 9-months’ training course in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.
In 2005 I started to teach. I met renowned Yoga figures such as Rolf Naujokat, John Scott, David Swenson, BNS Iyengar…
I discovered Hatha Yoga, Iyengar Yoga and Anusara Yoga, and complemented my training.
Numerous trips to India and around the world enriched my explorations.
I graduated with diplomas in Thai massage and reflexology from the school of Wat Po in Bangkok and Chang Mai (Thailand) .
After several extended stays in Mysore (Southern India), studying at the KPJAYI, in Mysore, I was given the permission to teach, (the “blessing” ) from Sharat Jois himself.
He also encouraged me to create a Mysore Programme in Paris. Thus, the “Mysore Practice in Paris” was born.
Today, internal alignment (dristhis, bandhas and breathing) remains a priority practice for me. Yet, combined with my knowledge of anatomy (drawn from my training as a body actor, and the study of Iyengar and Anusara yoga), I can create safe spaces for the practitioners in my classes, without distorting the practice of Ashtanga.
I transmit the technique with my heart, with love for the Art of Yoga.
My teaching is in line with the tradition and its evolution, as it continues to be transmitted to me during each Yoga stay in Mysore.
