Description of the retreat
This week the approach to practice will focus on listening. No longer a struggle with your body and your blocks, imposing a “must do” but an abandonment and a flow where, by losing your shape, you will be able to welcome the asanas in a different way. And the moment it is ready to let go, everything comes.
Morning Mysore Classes
3 AFTERNOONS: in –depth class (2 hours)
First afternoon class: “Different stages of Asana”
In this theoretical workshop we will explain how the approach to asanas evolves within the practice. Everything changes and the way we get on the mat should also change over time.
Second afternoon class: “Hip opening”
In this practical study, we will deepen the concept of opening the hips by working on a series specially designed to guide the practitioner in a progressive way.
Third afternoon class:
In this theoretical / practical study we will first explain the concept of emotional release related to asanas and then we will apply this concept to practice.
The retreat is accessible to all levels.

Riccardo Gherardi began practicing Hatha Yoga in 2005 with maestro Giorgio Furlan. In 2007 he approached Ashtanga Yoga attending the school of Lino Miele and subsequently, for many years, practiced under the guidance of the teacher Tina Pizzimenti and Gabriele Severini.
His approach to practice changes a lot over time. It goes from an extreme study of alignment and movement to a more natural abandonment to an energy flow in which to cultivate the art of flowing like water without having form or structure. This approach has ultimately led him to regularly practice the entire “Advanced b”.
He is authorized to teach by Manju Pattabhi Jois in 2009, and then participates in his second series Teacher Training. His training continues with Mark and Joanne Darby who will help change his view of the practice.
Always interested in the various forms of energy and their application, he experiments with Vipassana meditation and studies in depth the Pranic Healing and Quantum Touch. This passion of his also finds an application in Ashtanga Yoga, where he carries out a teaching centered precisely on the subtle energies and on the search for a balance between Yin and Yang, also through a vision of asanas as a tool to face, through emotional release, fears and blocks that prevent our evolution as living beings.
Over the years, having had the good fortune to meet and practice with various experienced teachers, he had the opportunity to experiment with different approaches that helped define his personal teaching method, while remaining faithful to the tradition handed down by Shri K. Pattabhi Jois.
