Description of the retreat

Come and immerse yourself in a fun and dynamic week long Dharma and Vinyasa yoga retreat

DESCRIPTION
The days will begin with a morning meditation and pranayama session followed by a dynamic and creative yoga based flowing vinyasa practice.
Ellie will be teaching the Dharma yoga practices and Steve will be teaching a Strong vinyasa yoga practice.

Dharma yoga practice – Ellie will blend together arm balances, hip openers, backbends, inversions and twists which will leave you feeling inspired and energised.
There will be lots of variations throughout the practice so students can access the level of practice most suited to them.

Vinyasa yoga – Steve will teach a dynamic vinyasa sequence which will include arm balances, forward folds and inversions weaved together to create a fun flowing vinyasa based sequence.

In the afternoons there will be optional workshops run by both Steve and Ellie in which many of the poses including inversions and backbends will be broken down and explored further so allowing the opportunity to deepen your practice.

There will also be the opportunity to participate in 2 evening Yoga Nidra sessions to completely wind down and benefit from the powerful effects of the yoga Nidra psychic sleep.

You can choose how much yoga practice you do as all classes are optional and there will be plenty of time to explore the local area or simply relax and enjoy the pool and spa facilities at the retreat venue.

Wednesday will be a free day and excursions can be arranged on request.

Please note that although there will be options available in the physical practice to accommodate all levels of practice this retreat is not suitable for complete beginners.

Ellie was first introduced to yoga in 1996 whilst travelling through India and from that moment on she knew yoga would be an integral part of her life.
In 2006 after several years of self practice and study she embarked on her teaching journey, sharing her knowledge of the practice with others.

Ellie first met and began to practice with Sri Dharma Mittra in Aug 2006 and the time she spent with him over the next few months had a huge impact on her and her practice and Dharma yoga became an integral part of her life and yoga practice.

In all of her classes Ellie asks that students come with an open mind and give themselves space to let go of all thoughts and expectations of themselves and their practice and simply be at one with your body and breath allowing the yoga to flow through you making your practice into the perfect moving meditation.

Ellie brings a vibrant, creative uplifting approach to her classes. She creatively combines postures from the Dharma practice into a heart opening sequence in which you can expect inversions, backbends, twists and arm balances all weaved together into a fun and flowing practice that will leave you feeling energised and uplifted.

Ellie has teaching qualifications in Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Rocket.
She also has 500hr advanced qualification in Dharma Yoga from New York and a further advanced training from her mentor Mark Kan.

Steve is a Yoga Teacher and Movement Coach, he has 8 years experience helping people from all warps of life get stronger through Movement and Strength training.
Three years ago he qualified as a yoga teacher and added this to his skill set and now combines yoga within his classes to create a well rounded dynamic class.

Steve’s yoga classes are designed to be fun and explorative whilst also building strength, flexibility and mobility.
