200 Hour Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, and Restorative Yoga Teacher Training

Description of the retreat

You will gain applied knowledge in anatomy, yoga kinesiology, intelligent alignment, beginner to advanced asana, and the art of assisting. Begin or deepen your meditation practice with daily mindfulness sessions and a one-day silent retreat. Tap into the wisdom of ancient yoga philosophy and explore the practical application of these ideas to our modern lives and practice. This course will ignite your passion for yoga, develop your voice as a teacher, and give you the confidence to craft classes that motivate and inspire others from a place of experiential wisdom and embodiment of the teachings.
This training is appropriate for serious students who are ready to start teaching, or for those who are simply interested in deepening their knowledge of the philosophy, skills, and principles of the practice on all levels. If you have already taken a 200 hour teacher training, this program will shed new light on what you have already learned and deepen your understanding of all aspects of the practice. No matter what your intention, you will come away with new insights, experiences, and ideas about your body, your life, and the world around you.

Jess has trained multiple groups of teachers in the practice of alignment-based vinyasa and hatha yoga, yin, and restorative yoga. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge of up-to-date movement principles with her students in a fun and joyful way. Driven to understand the wisdom of yoga philosophy and meditation, Jess has undergone multiple pilgrimages to India to study with master teachers in Vipassana meditation, Vedanta, and the Sutras, and she shares these profound insights and practices with her students in her teacher training programs. She will take you step by step through the techniques and principles you will need in order to understand and integrate a modern approach to asana, so that your practice and teachings come from a place of applied learning and internal experience. Jess’ goal is to help you find your authentic creativity as a teacher – one who is able to plan, sequence and deliver powerfully unique and inspiring classes with confidence.
