Jivamukti Yoga is a path to enlightenment through compassion for all beings.

Yoga can be translated as „to unite“- the practice is going beyond the physical. Yoga is not about being physically flexible or being able to jump into handstands, it is about the relationship to our surroundings. Asana means „seat“ which, in its original meaning, means „connection to the earth“.

Every morning we will start the day with an energising practice consisting of:

  • Warm-up
  • Sun salutations
  • Standing asanas
  • Back bending asanas
  • Forward bending asanas
  • Twist
  • Inversions
  • Mantra meditation
  • Chanting / study of the scriptures
  • Savasana (relaxation)

In the evening practice we will focus on workshop-style classes as well as relaxing ones (Restore & Renew). We will end every evening practice by chanting and meditating together. It doesn’t matter whether you are new to (Jivamukti) yoga or joining with years of experience – Yoga is for everybody and for everybody.

ABOUT THE JIVAMUKTI YOGA METHOD

Jivamukti Yoga is a path to enlightenment through compassion for all beings.“

Yoga can be translated as „to unite“- the practice is going beyond the physical. Yoga is not about being physically flexible or being able to jump into handstands, it is about the relationship to our surroundings. Asana means „seat“ which, in its original meaning, means „connection to the earth“. This includes all life on earth. The practice of Jivamukti Yoga can be understood as a conscious way of life, the aim of lifting up others and living freely without harming other beings in the process.

THE 5 TENETS OF JIVAMUKTI YOGA

During this retreat we will also explore the 5 tenets of Jivamukti Yoga, including:

  • Ahimsa (non-harming)
  • Bhakti (devotion)
  • Dhyana (meditation)
  • Nada (sound)
  • Shastra (the study of the ancient yogic teachings and scriptures)

LEA MOSELER

Lea Moseler

I am a Jivamukti, Vinyasa and Yin Yoga teacher based in Vienna.

In summer 2022 I stumbled into my first Jivamukti Open class in Berlin.

I didn’t know what to expect but immediately fell in love with the method a few minutes into class.

In autumn I took the 75hr training in Berlin, about a year later I went to the magical place in Salento where my very first Jivamukti-only retreat will be hosted.

I took my 300hr training here, knowing from the very first day that this will be the location for my retreat.

Teaching is certainly my greatest passion – no matter if it’s yoga in the studio or biology at school.
